ELEVENTH ANNUAL
MAINE PLAYWRIGHTS FESTIVAL

Our annual incubator for the development of world premiere scripts by Maine-based authors will take place in the spring of 2012. The festival is open to all playwrights, regardless of experience. This year's festival will consist of several evenings of staged readings of full-length plays, fully-produced performances of short plays, "Take Two," an evening of 2-minute plays in multiple interpretations, and the 24-hour play festival, in which all writers involved with the festival may take part.

We are pleased to announce that the following short plays have been selected for inclusion in this year's festival:

An aging mother and her visiting daughter realize how differently each sees a small town

The wife of a philandering photographer embarks on a brilliant scheme to turn the tables on both her husband and the other woman in his life

St. Lawrence Arts Center, Munjoy Hill, Portland
