This year we are pleased to continue our tradition of offering a special Jewish-themed show in December. Come enjoy the casual intimacy of our 40-seat theater in the Dana Warp Mill in downtown Westbrook. Complimentary refreshments are available at all shows.
THE DYBBUK OF PARK SLOPE
written by Michael Levine and directed by Al D'Andrea
A upwardly-mobile couple in Brooklyn is engaged to be married, and they struggle with the form their marriage should take, sectarian or traditional. Meanwhile, the woman's ultra-modern mother becomes possessed by a dybbuk in the form of a traditional Jewish mother, who gathers quirky family relatives together to prepare for an ultra-traditional ceremony. A sweet play about finding your spirituality in the complex twenty-first century world.
